Please add support for the Intel SATA RAID controller.
Hi, I have a plan to support Intel RAID controllers as soon as possible. Please wait...
The (palimpsest?) "disk utility" on my Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" 64-bit liveCD tells me of three drives on my RAID-1, the composite (logical) drive and also the two underlying hard drives. So perhaps there's already a reusable (OSS, GPL, whatever) solution to this problem.

I switched from Win7 over to Linux Mint 12 to confirm, and it's not exactly what I remember. What (palimpsest) disk utility reports are _four_ drives:
/dev/sda --- not partitioned, SMART data available.
/dev/sdb --- not partitioned, SMART data available.
/dev/dm-0 --- not partitioned, no SMART here.
/dev/dm-1 --- not partitioned, no SMART here.
So the Intel RAID-1 on this HP xw4600's motherboard (that clearly supports Win7, where I just was) must use part of the beginning of the drive for its own purposes (synchronization bitmap I'd expect), and that looks like no partitioning to Linux.
I hope that this helps.

Does this include IRST-E also
I have a plan to add IRST support in CDI5.
Crystal Disk Info 4.3.0 (portable variant from portableapps.com) does not find the RAID-1 disks in my CLEVO P170HMx laptop. There are a small number of programs that claim to be able to access the SMART information behind the INTEL hardware raid controller.
