Support for WS Addressing version 1.0, Web Services Resource Framework version 1.2, and Web Services Notification version 1.3 was added along with new APIs for MessageContextHelper and EPRResourceContext. A resource cache can now be configured with a size limit. Error codes were added to all error messages generated by Java WS Core. Implementations of WS-ServiceGroup, Notification Producer operations, and the WSRF QueryResourceProperties operation were included. GSI C can now be built with OS-vendor supplied versions of OpenSSL. There were assorted other enhancements and bugfixes.
This release adds support for thread pooling in the notification subsytem. It adds client globus-check-environment capability. Security options added are an assertion embedded in cas-proxy-init that complies with RFC 3820 requirements on certificate extension, support for signing policy enforcement, and support for building GSI with an external OpenSSL package. A configurable option to control the number of concurrent threads to handle transfer requests has been added. There are numerous bugfixes.
