A new touch frontend was included. Rendering is now done with cairo, which provides prettier graphics and optimized routines. Rubberband selection now does up and down scrolling and will select/unselect on the fly. Translations were updated and now cover the greater part of the world's population. Remove, find, settings, and touch dialogs now run in their own threads. RTFM and Help buttons were provided for cp, mv, ln, shred, and fgr. The pasteboard was migrated from server-base to thread-safe client-base. Icon/thumbnail size is now variable.
Many bugfixes. Dependencies on unnecessary libraries have been removed. Plugins and many other things have been added. The package has been split into separate components.
Icons on the desktop GUI have been added (xffm-deskview). Treeview and iconview GUIs have been separated into two executables (xffm-treeview and xffm-iconview). There are feature enhancements to iconview GUI. The Xffm-run and Xffm-root programs have been added. An applications plugin has been added.
Only the lead thread now is allowed to regenerate
the icons' cache. The appearance of iconview
easymode edit was improved. Scroll position is
only restored if it makes sense. A race condition
for easy mode edit was fixed. Quotes are stripped
from paths when determining workdir. Unnecessary
files are no longer installed with "make install".
The JA translations were updated. Easy-mode fixes
were made.
The iconview GUI has become the default GUI and is
considered stable and open for any bug reports.
Development will now proceed by freezing the API
and generating documentation for plugin creation.
Many new features have been added to the iconview.
A new plugin (slocate) allows the user to display
the results of the slocate command as icons within
xffm, in either iconview or treeview mode. The
minimum requirements for compiling xffm have been
reduced.
