2008年で更新が止まってしまったためにドライバが古く、LOOP MIDIなどを使わないと使えないのがもったいないが、他のサウンドフォントでMIDIを再生するソフトなどを考慮しても軽快かつ複数のサウンドフォントを使ったときの重ね合いも素晴らしいとても良いソフトウェアMIDI音源。開発が停止しているのがとても惜しい……BW版も2013で止まってしまっているし(´・ω・｀)

全体のバランスはいいと思う。昔々のマルチティンバーのハード音源みたいな感じだ。 Win7　64bitで使ってるが、時々音が出なくなる。 かつてCakewalk Pro Audio 9で作成したMIDIデータをプレイヤーで再生すると、途中から音が出なくなり、一旦終了して（終了に時間がかかる模様）起動し直すと元に戻るようだ。 今は亡きWinGrooveのプレイヤー（Win XP当時）では問題無かったが原因が不明。
Pros
インストールが簡単だった。 PCがマルチコアになってからWinGrooveでは（Win XP当時）ドラムがモタったりしてズレが生じていたが、TiMidity++ではそれが全くなく、軽く使える。 拾ってきたMIDIデータでとりあえず音を出すにはいい音源だと思う。
Cons
Win標準の音源よりはマシだが、もう少しいい音にしてほしかった（＾＾；

サウンドフォントが使えるのがいいです。 そのための設定用ソフトもいいです。

nice sounding module. i cant get the lyrics window to show the words though
