The man page suite, including man, apropos, and
whatis consists of programs that are used to read
most of the documentation available on a Linux
system. The whatis and apropos programs can be
used to find documentation related to a particular
subject.
UMLGraph facilitates the declarative specification and drawing of UML class and sequence diagrams. One can specify a class design using the Java syntax complemented by Javadoc tags. Running the UmlGraph doclet on the specification generates a Graphviz diagram specification that can be automatically processed to create Postscript, GIF, SVG, JPEG, fig, or Framemaker drawings. Similarly, sequence diagrams are specified using declarative pic macros and compiled with the GNU plotutils pic2plot program into a PNG, PNM, (pseudo) GIF, SVG, AI, Postscript, CGM, FIG, PCL, HPGL, Regis, or TEK drawing.

Cxref is a program that will produce documentation (in LaTeX, HTML, RTF or SGML) including cross-references from C program source code. It works for ANSI C, including most gcc extensions. calltree is a static call tree generator for C programs. It parses a collection of input files and builds a graph that represents the static call structure of the files.
