Archetypes is a framework for developing new
content types in Plone. The power of Archetypes is
first in automatically generating forms, second in
providing a library of stock field types, form
widgets, and field validators, third in easily
integrating custom fields, widgets, and
validators, and fourth in automating
transformations of rich content.

The templates were updated to conform with the new
Plone 2.0 style. Various reported bugs were fixed,
and various submitted patches were included. The
test suite was improved, based on ZopeTestCase.
Handling of submitted values is done by the
widgets now, allowing for better manipulation of
data. PortalTransforms were included from CVS HEAD
(handle with care). Some methods weren't being
correctly protected with a permission. The new
BaseUnit is enabled by default now (change to the
old one on Archetypes/config.py if you don't yet
plan to migrate to PortalTransforms).

generator and validation packages were moved to
standalone Python packages. Lots of improvements
were made to the UI. Loads of bugfixes were made.
This release introduces the RFC822Marshaller as
the default marshaller.
