JWChat (Jabber Web Chat) aims to be a full
featured, Web-based Jabber client. It uses only
JavaScript and HTML on the client side. Currently,
it supports basic Jabber instant messaging, roster

This release features true support for HTTP binding (non-polling mode), a Dutch translation, some bugfixes, and a more verbose README that hopefully gets you started more easily.
This release has full MUC support, can store preferences and bookmarks on the server, has support for server-side chat history, uses hashed passwords for login, and has a lot of bugfixes.
This is the first beta release. Current features include basic Jabber messaging, roster management, nearly full support for multi-user chat as described in JEP-0045, support for using gateways aka transports, managing bookmarks for group chats (JEP-0048), searching on JUD (and compliant components), and many more.
