Most xine features are now supported, including
DVD menus, video postprocessing, network
broadcasting, external subtitles (autoloading),
and saving streams as local files. Standard KDE
menus/shortcuts/icons are now used, and full copy
& paste support was added. A small left-click
panel for minimal and fullscreen mode was added.
The audio or video driver can be changed without
restarting. The visualization is now selected in
the view menu, and can be changed during playback.
Relative file paths and Windows-style URLs are now
accepted by the M3U importer. Metadata tags will
now be read when loading (MP3 or Ogg). Dozens of
bugs were fixed.
Some stability fixes were made. Many new features
were added, including a right-click context menu
for fullscreen, a minimal mode, a Konqueror plugin
to preview single files and directory content, and
a Kaffeine starter plugin for mozilla. A DCOP
interface, a simple superkaramba theme, and a
profile.xml file were added, making it possible to
use the program with klirc of KDE 3.2. New command
line options were added to set Audio-CD/VCD
device, audiodriver, and videodriver. The files
argument can now consist of directories and
xine-plugin names. Stability and font-encoding
fixes were made.
