A new command under the Data menu to clears all memory channels. This is useful before opening a memory channel CSV file if you want to override the current channels instead of merging the channels in the file with the current channels. If you do not clear the channels before opening a new file, the channel information from the file will be merged with the previous channel information. A new duplicate frequency check is available. Improved diagnostic messages are displayed when errors are found in a CSV file.
The sliders and frequency keypad controls may be docked or separated into a separate Adjustments window to accomodate use with low resolution monitors. A new, variable length frequency usage note field may be defined for each memory channel and portrayed below the frequency display. A new tk8500.bat file and installation instructions permit the same installation procedure for all versions of Microsoft Windows.
This version includes several enhancements. Users can now choose to boost or cut the volume for a set of frequencies. It also adds a second Volume control, and a new Volume field in the Memory Channel .csv file which determines which of the two volume controls to use. Users now have the ability to change the text font and change the color of the graphic images. There is also faster receiver polling. While scanning memory, the active memory bank label widget is now colored green while the inactive labels are colored white.
This release adds the ability to change bank names and write them to the radio. During Mode and Select scans, tk8500 will now automatically disable banks which do not meet the user's criteria. A few bugs have been fixed.
