yappa-ng is an easy to use online PHP photo
gallery. It has a comfortable and elaborate
album-oriented photo album administration Web
interface. Each picture can be viewed in many
different sizes with resizing created
automatically on the fly. It has complete user
selectable language support, and supports password
protected albums, hit counters for albums and
images, album info, image captions, gallery
overview, different themes, and a 'Top 10 images'
ranking system for each photo album.

Three new themes have been added. A major rewrite
was done to the source code. yappa-ng is now
compatible with "safe_mode" and "open_basedir".
The memory requirements of the program were
drastically reduced. The display part was
completely rewritten to remove the need for the
"Alternate Image Display Method" and to remove the
need for Apache users to edit the Web server's
config file. The security checks have been
drastically improved. One more language has been
added (Dansk).

Beside two new Admin-Modules (an "Album-Info" and the long-awaited "Initialize-Album" to cache all images of one image-size with one click), there are the often-wanted mini-previews for the previous/next link in the Single-Image-View.
