Hello. This year till August, I spent both all of my time and more than a half of work time for addressing OOM livelock problem (which I explained at https://osdn.jp/projects/tomoyo/lists/archive/users-en/2015-September/000630.html ). Although this nasty problem is not yet solved perfectly, I think that the things settled in in Linux 4.8 which will be released shortly. After RHEL 7.3 is released, I'm going to publish my activity log titled "The OOM CTF" (written in Japanese). (I'm waiting for RHEL 7.3 because two CVEs mentioned in the log are fixed in RHEL 7.3's kernel.) If you are interested in why Linux systems hangup silently and want to know one of possible causes, you might want to find someone who can translate Japanese language into your language. Now, I'd like to start activities for including CaitSith into mainline. Today I made a branch directory for minimal functionality version for proposal. I call for persons who can join discussions at LSM mailing list and/or tomoyo-{users,dev}-en mailing lists. Also, I released CaitSith 0.1.17 today which fixed accounting of memory usage which I noticed while trimming code for minimal functionality version.
