The main bugfix in this version involves changes that make code compile cleanly with strict-aliasing optimizations (it works on gcc 3.x distros like Redhat 8.0).
A few minor bugfixes were made. Version 1.0.9 is
probably the last official release of the 1.0.x
branch. Subsequent releases will only be made if
serious bugfixes are needed. Otherwise, all
changes will be made to the development 1.1.x
branch.
