A lot of new features, including support for multiple players (with one-click playlist migration) and a sophisticated Web-enabled system to automate the process of building an MP3 database. The player back-end has been almost completely rewritten, and includes numerous interface improvements and bugfixes.
This release focuses on the front-end: new tools to administer artists, albums, and songs (including order); a central front-end configuration system and numerous new configuration options; a number of new usability features; player controls area (with basic pause/play); sophisticated auto-refresh; summary modes for most interface sections; and updated documentation.
This release is a substantial upgrade. It includes minor bugfixes, major code cleanup (streamlining and commenting), mass-kill on request lists, IP address tracking and display, "Greatest hits" list, "play an entire album" feature, display of playing and requested songs in the songs list, command-line args/usage in the backend, logging to stdout by default, support for remote host databases on the backend, and pretty colors.
