ImageIM is a plugin for Gaim that lets buddies send
screenshots to each other via HTTP. Users can simply click
the ImageIM button, select a portion of the screen, and then
send their buddy the image. If the buddy doesn't have
ImageIM, they will receive a link pointing them to the
image.
getKC600 is a tool for getting pictures from a
Yashica (Kyocera) KC600 digital camera connected
to a serial port.
Gallery Mage is a client side photo gallery
management system designed to work with online
gallery display scripts such as SPGM. Using
Gallery Mage, one can select, caption, rotate,
crop, resize, and upload photos taken with a
digital camera to an online photo gallery. The
rotate, crop, and resize parameters are stored as
text data with the images, and the operations are
only performed on a copy of the photo while
exporting, thus preserving the original picture
files. Gallery Mage provides abstraction from the
online display software.
TclScreenUP is a little utility that grabs a
screenshot, allowing you to set a delay prior to
grabbing the shot. It also allows you to set the
dimensions of the shot, shows a preview, uploads
it to your Web server, then displays the URL. It
allows you to save profiles with your server
information, preferred browser, etc. You can have
multiple profiles.
Istanbul is a desktop session recorder for the
Free Desktop. It records your session into an Ogg
Theora video file. To start the recording, you
click on its icon in the notification area. To
stop you click its icon again. It works on GNOME,
KDE, XFCE, and others.
KCamedia is a control program for older Olympus
Camedia cameras. It allows you to download images
over a serial line. The program has a QT GUI that
shows previews. Several camera settings are
supported.
The DC10plus/LML33/Buz Linux Driver provides MJPEG-compressed video
capture and playback with Pinnacle Systems DC10/DC10plus, Linux Media
Labs LML33, and Iomega Buz cards under Linux.

iCam2 is a video4linux/imlib2 based application for handling a webcam. It grabs
a frame every few seconds from a V4L video source, timestamps it with a custom
string and TrueType fonts, and writes it to disk. It has an X11 interface for
previewing video, filtering, and more. The console-only mode works quite stably,
but the X11 interface has some severe problems. It also features limited
built-in filtering and auto-brightness adjustment.

camsrv is intended primarily for the Philips family of Webcams. The server portion of the program can either serve as a stand-alone program to capture images to disk, or act as a streaming video server. In this mode, images are sent as a compressed stream to a Java client.

tdsdump allows capture and printing of encapsulated postscript output from Tektronix TDS210, TDS220, and TDS224 digital oscilloscopes that have the TDS2CM option installed. It captures the serial data stream from the scope, and captures the content between the %PS-Adobe and %%EOF tags (inclusive) in the data, optionally spooling the result to a printer. This allows the scope to screen dump without a dedicated printer.
