Gyachl is an unofficial fork of the Gyach Enhanced
project. It is a Yahoo! chat client with Webcam
and voice support, environments, and an integrated
profile browser.

SCRAP (Security Camera Recording APplication) is a
security camera recording application that is
capable of working with any video4linux compatible
device. It can grab frames from multiple inputs on
a single device or from multiple capture boards at
the same time. It has a very reliable motion
detection system that records only when movement
is detected, ignoring light changes. Videos are
recorded using XviD's MPEG-4 codec. A recording
archive management system is included.

jBrout is a photo manager. It can manage albums
and photos, tag photos with IPTC keywords, use
internal JPEG thumbnails, add comments to photos
and albums, losslessly rotate JPEG files and
internal JPEG thumbnails, and use EXIF info. It
uses plugins to add a variety of features such as
exporting to HTML, acting like an HTTP server, and
exporting to email. It works without a database,
and has been tested with a collection of over
20,000 photos.

recps takes a stream from an encoder board and
writes it to disk. The MPEG data format is checked
for compliance and bad data is thrown out. The
recording can be split into more than one file
(interactively), or based on the file size
(automatically).

SPU-Toolbox is a computer vision centric C++ API for frame-rate sensor control under Linux. It includes multithreaded facilities for Video for Linux (V4L) video capture, rapid display of images for the X Window System, and pan-tilt unit control.

mimms is an MMS (e.g. mms://) stream downloader.
mimms is a program designed to allow you to
download streams using the MMS protocol and save
them to your computer, as opposed to watching them
live. Similar functionality is available in full
media player suites such as Xine, MPlayer, and
VLC, but mimms can be quicker and easier to use.

The MyHD/TL880 Linux Driver is an attempt to create a fully functional
Linux driver for HDTV tuner cards based on the TL880 chip. It includes
the Linux driver as well as research tools for both Linux and Windows to
allow driver development.

Macam is a user space USB Webcam driver, supporting
Aiptek, 3com, Phillips, Creative, Dexxa, DigitalDream,
Dolphin Peripherals, IDT, Intel, Kensington, Lifeview,
Logitech, and many other Webcams.

Amora (A mobile remote assistant) is an
application for S60 Nokia smartphones written in
Python (PyS60). It allows you to send keyboard
events and mouse moving in your Linux desktop. You
can control slides, movies, and any other
application. Supported features include: mouse
drag, double clicking, mouse left button, and some
common keyboard keys (Enter, Esc, Space, F5, arrow
key left/right, 'F', etc.). It can take a
screenshot of the active window on your desktop
and view thumbnail on the cellphone.
Communication uses Bluetooth.

VStar PhotoAlbum is a Web-based photo album
designed for amateur photographers with digital
cameras and their own Web server or home page. It
alleviates the need to to spend much time creating
Web pages to show off photographs, and also allows visitors to download original high-resolution images to print good quality pictures.

gblnk lets you use a MadCatz cable to download bitmaps from the Gameboy camera onto your PC and view them/save them in bitmap format.

grabslides allows you to capture frames from any
video source supported by GStreamer (though only
DV video files are currently supported). It offers
a lot of configurable parameters and can even
generate PDF documents containing all the frames
grabbed.

C_Sane is a C++ wrapper for the SANE library.

iii is a manager daemon implementation for the
Eye-Fi card. It accepts connections from the card,
stores uploaded photos, and invokes whatever hooks
are set in the configuration file. The author is
not affiliated with the hardware vendor.

mgadvd is a Matrox G200/Zoran 36700 hardware MPEG decoder driver for Linux. It allows you to play MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and DVD streams through the Zoran 36700 Vaddis III decoder (connected to the G200) with very low CPU usage. Supported DVD audio formats are AC3 (Dolby Digital) and PCM. Included is a player app called mzplay that plays DVD directly from the disc as well as MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video and audio (Layer II only) files.
