DimensioneX is a multiplayer game engine. It lets
you develop, run, and host browser-based,
graphical multiplayer games. The users will play
games simply via their browser. DimensioneX runs
on any Java-enabled Web server (such as Tomcat).
X Starship Traders is a GTK+-based X Windows
client for the online Web game, Starship Traders.

"The Game" is a project designed to simplify the
process of producing any high-quality
cross-platform 2D or 3D graphical computer game.
The hope is that any game can be produced simply
by changing a few settings and pressing a
"compile" button. The project has three
"deliverables": a game engine library to abstract
across the set of all possible computer games
(applying object-oriented design methods to the
general problem in such a way as to be usable in
specific instances); a graphical interface for
easy game design (an exercise in human interface
design); and a gaming package with a lot of shiny
games to play.

AdaGate is a strategy game with escape rooms in a Stargate/NarbacularDrop fantasy setting. It is a fully elaborated example of modern OpenGL programming using the Ada language that runs on Windows, OSX, and GNU/Linux. And the new linux binary now runs on many linux distros!
While searching a remote south-seas atoll for remnants of a lost American heroine, you find a nearly operational stargate. If you can get it working, you will be transported into an off-world temple with multiple chambers. You'll need to power up the portal system by rolling alien power cells onto their sockets. Simple, right? Then use your portal gun to bypass obstacles through another dimension.
Escape all chambers to ascend to the lake sanctuary, where the level of difficulty is increased for your next game.
